# Welcome to Mavel

> Mavel tracks how visible your brand is in AI answers, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and more.

AI assistants are becoming the front door to your product. When a prospect asks
ChatGPT "what's the best tool for X", either your brand is in the answer or a
competitor's is. Mavel measures which, every day, and tells you what to do about
it.

## What Mavel does

Mavel runs your buyers' real questions ("prompts") against the AI surfaces that
matter, captures the full answers, and turns them into daily brand metrics:

* **Visibility**: how often your brand appears in AI answers for your prompt set.
* **Position**: where in the answer you appear when you do.
* **Sentiment**: how the answer talks about you.
* **Share of Voice**: your visibility relative to the competitors you track.

Every answer is stored with its cited sources, so you can see not just *whether*
you show up, but *which pages* the AI engines are reading when they talk about
your category, and which pages you need to create or fix.

Mavel tracks answers across the major AI search surfaces, including ChatGPT,
Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft

  directly.
